REFLEXOLOGY TRAINING COURSE

Do you want to learn Reflexology? Do you have a passion to be the best? Jubilee College is particularly proud to be teaching the Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology in Yorkshire, the East Midlands, Cambridgshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, London, Kent and West Sussex. Our Reflexology training course is accepted by the Association of Reflexologists, Federation of Holistic Therapists and all the other leading Reflexology associations. This is the highest level you can train at to become a Practitioner Reflexologist and is recognised across the UK. Our training venues are in Newcastle, Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham / Derby, Leicester, Lincoln, Milton-Keynes, Oxford, Peterborough, Cambridge, Essex, Central London, Maidstone and between Arundel and Chichester.

There are many schools and colleges offering Reflexology Diploma training courses, but how do you know which one to go to? Will you learn the right level of Reflexology training?  Will your qualification be widely recognised by employers, the UK government and private healthcare insurance companies? The answers to all these questions at Jubilee College is YES!!

Hear from one of our graduates, Vicky Hildyard, who talks about her experience of Jubilee College and what she is doing now she is qualified.

Included in our course is:

  • An OFQUAL externally awarded (Agored Cymru) Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology (a GENUINE Level 5 program).
  • A Reflexology qualification within the Sector Subject Area - 'Nursing and subjects and vocations allied to medicine'.
  • Jubilee College is one of the few colleges who are part of RiEN (Reflexology in Europe Nexus), which furthers your international credentials.
  • Practical Foot Reflexology - all our practical training is hands-on and face to face (not online).
  • Practical Hand Reflexology.
  • ALL 20 of the lessons we teach will contain practical Reflexology.
  • Reflexology for Cancer, Palliative and Chronic illness.
  • Adaptive Integrated Reflexology (an exclusive technique only taught at IRC affiliated schools).
  • Reflexology for Reproductive Health, Pregnancy and Menopause
  • Anatomy and Physiology of the Human Body and the Pathology of Disease, so that you understand how and why your clients have become ill or stressed (the course hand-outs are detailed with colour pictures and written in plain English!) We teach this in-class, not online as many other schools do. This guarantees support where it is needed most.
  • How to tailor a treatment plan to an individual client and condition.
  • How to create a successful business. (We don't just train you to be a great Reflexologist, we give you all the tools needed to be a successful and profitable Reflexologist!)
  • Supervised clinical practice and practical work at home (Case studies)
  • Understanding Reflexology research
  • 79 Credits (these can be used if you want to progress on to a University Degree or other Higher Education course - do please see our FAQ page for more information on why Credits are important).
  • All training handouts are included in the course
  • Free videos of our Foot and Hand Reflexology techniques and A1 coloured Foot Map, and an A3 coloured hand map is included.
  • Free lifetime support once you are qualified!

If you are looking at alternative schools, do make sure they can match the above.

During your course, you will undertake 100 case study treatments, four assessments of your practical skills (client studies) plus there will be about 630 hours of homework to do in your own time. The good news is, that there is no end of term exam - you will build a portfolio of work throughout the course, and upon successful completion of this (and your practical assessments), you will then qualify as a Practitioner Reflexologist.

Class sizes are kept small to guarantee individual tuition, so to avoid disappointment, early booking is recommended. To see what training is like at Jubilee College, click here to have a look at our photo gallery. To book a course, please scroll to the bottom of this page.

At Jubilee College we train you to become a Practitioner Reflexologist in both foot and hand Reflexology. On graduation you will be able to register with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) - the UK'€s most recognised complementary health register, and become a member of any of the above organisations (without the need for upgrading).  Lastly, all graduates of Jubilee College are allowed to use the initials GJC after their name.

Entry requirements for the course:

  • Be over 18 years at the start of training.
  • Have a good level of written and spoken English.
  • Have sufficient ability to perform reflexology techniques .
  • There is no 'academic' requirement for entry onto this course. However, the course is quite demanding (it is level 5), so we do ask for hard work and determination :-) (we suggest that most students need about 12 - 14 hours per week of home study).
  • Physical attendance to all lessons is required, as on-line learning is not allowed. However, if you can't make a date at your class, you can swap weekends (at no cost) to any of the Jubilee venues. If this is not possible, a catch-up lesson can be arranged with your tutor.
  • All coursework is submitted by e-mail, so you need to be able to use a word processing program and know how to attach files to an e-mail. If you don't know how to do either of these, attending a basic computer course at your local college prior to starting our course would be highly recommended.
  • We encourage you to attend one of our classes prior to booking. If you can't do this, an enrolment interview will need to be arranged either by phone or on Zoom. Please contact your local tutor to arrange this by clicking here.

Fees  early bird

If you are booking 8 weeks in advance of the course start date, we are offering a £250.00 EarlyBird discount off the course fee.

The total course fee is £3995.00 for all venues. There are several ways that payment can be made:

Option 1 - £400.00 booking fee, then payment of the balance at the first lesson. (£3595.00).

Our College

David profile 2DAVID WAYTE

David Wayte (Cert Ed, MAR, ICR) is the Principal of Jubilee College and Reflexology Course Lecturer at our Central London and Brands Hatch schools.

For those who don't know me already, may I take this opportunity to introduce myself, and hope that I will get to meet you in person.

I am a fully qualified Lecturer, and have been practicing Reflexology since 2000. In 2007 Jubilee College was created, but before that I was Department Head of Complementary Therapies at South East Derbyshire College. I was the first Reflexologist in the UK to be made a member of the Royal Society of Medicine and I also run my own Complementary Therapy Clinic, Jubilee Holistic Reflexology in Hythe, Kent. I am also blessed to teach Reflexology all over the world, and I run a Reflexology YouTube channel.

My personal motto is 'strive for excellence'. If you are looking for the highest standard of training and want to become the best therapist that you can be, then my courses are for you. I also believe that, although Reflexology training involves intensive study, learning should be fun. Previous students have stated that they have found learning about the human body compelling and fascinating.

A question I often get asked is 'Why don't I run a Reflexology course that will give a practitioners diploma after a couple of weekends training?' The answer is quite simple. I like to train quality therapists. It is true that you can call yourself a Reflexologist without training at all. I've even seen courses advertised as 'The quickest and easiest course to give you a practitioners diploma'. I find these kind of courses extremely concerning, since how can you learn all you need to know in such a short amount of time, and still practice on the public safely?

I also strongly believe that for students to get the most out of a course and to succeed in their chosen subject, a good interaction between student and teacher is vital. I have spoken with too many students who have dropped out of courses because they just can't get on with their teacher. This is why the first lesson I give is structured as a 'taster lesson'. This gives students a chance to experience the training before committing to an entire course - if you don't like it, you can walk away without any obligation . How many colleges will offer a deal as good as that?

For me, Reflexology has been, and still is, the most rewarding career I have ever known. I hope that it will become just the same for you also.
